One of the most popular devices, the Apple iPad 4 has a great design and OS. Then there is the fast processing chip and the Retina display. You can expect the price to fall with the coming of the next generation iPad 5.

Google Nexus 7
The 7-inch tablet is one of the best compact tablets around. It’s got everything going for it: Android Jelly OS, micro-USB, quad-core processor and HD display. A device to go for, for sure, no matter the steep price.

Google Nexus 10
Want a larger screen? This one’s for you. It has got also got more RAM and the images are brighter. Available at US Play Store for $399.

Samsung Galaxy Note 800
This tablet has got something the others don’t – a stylus. Its performance is on par with the best of the best too. So definitely worth a buy.

Sony Xperia Z
If budget is not an issue, this is a must buy for one simple reason: it is waterproof! It also happens to be a praiseworthy one, with reviewers judging it to be the best Android device. At its heart is the powerful quad-core 1.5GHz processor. Combine this with great audio, great design, great performance…go for it.

Using Windows OS? Then this device is for you because unlike the others it has MS Office programs & tools. You can even connect a keyboard and mouse and use it like a netbook. Isn’t that just cool?!

Dell Latitude 10
Great Windows 8 device simply because of its long-lasting battery. Too pricey though and has an Intel Atom processor, not something you may want.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9
The 8.9 inch HD screen is really very good, as is the power of the Dolby dual stereo speakers. It is 4-G enabled too so will be ahead of the pack of 3G-enabled devices.
