2013 Apple iPhone 5S or Apple iPhone 6: what's in a name?

When Apple Inc. designs something, everybody goes crazy.There are the buyers who line up overnight in serpentine queues to be the first to buy it off the shelf. There are the competitors who want to create something equally good without getting sued over patent rights. There are the  critics who want to dissect it every which way. Finally there are bloggers like me who want to let the whole world know about its launch & features. Well, as yet nobody is really sure when the next version of the iconic iPhone will be launched. However, there is already lots of buzz about it.


Does the name matter?
What seems to be sure is that Apple designers are already at work on the new iPhone as well as a new version of its iOS software, as reported here. It has been futher reported here that the new iPhone will not continue to the next numerical digit, namely 6, but may simply have the addition of the alphabet S. Anyway, who really cares what it does get named eventually? A new, grander Apple iPhone is all that smartphone users want!

Expected launch date of new iPhone5S/6
While some rumours declare that the new iPhone will be launched sometime between February and May, other rumours predict a launch in June-July 2013.

Love-to-have features in the new Apple iPhone would be:

• An improvement in the camera, perhaps with an optical zoom lens
• A feature whereby the iPhone can be charged without any cumbersome wires
• A brand new earth-shaking OS
• Some really great new innovative feature which nobody thought of!
