Should you wait to buy the Microsoft Surface?

Microsoft recently announced its entry into the contemporary computing devices world with the Surface Tablet. In fact, two Surface tablets: one (Surface) is meant for ordinary folks who do the usual stuff on a tablet, another (the Surface Pro) for those who do really serious business stuff. Quite obviously, what Microsoft is trying to achieve is not just establish itself as a brand to reckon with in the tablet market but to achieve this by toppling Apple from its perch. To be more precise, to give hot competition to the Apple iPad.

Microsoft Surface Features Review
Just the look of the Microsoft Surface is pleasing to the eyes, with its black glossiness. The chassis is created from magnesiom alloy & it is sturdy & comfortable to grasp in your hands. There is a very thin keyboard too of 2 types, a touch cover & a type cover, the latter with proper buttons. You can select your favourite colour for the touch cover: black, white, red, magenta or cyan. There is a 10.6" display screen. For the Surface it is a 16:9 widescreen HD display, while for the Surface Pro it is a full HD display. One of the most ingenious parts of the Microsoft tablet is the kick stand. It is not just some add-on separate feature, but merges into the main body of the tablet when not in use. You are also unlikely to misplace the ink stylus, as it has a magnetic heart so you can stick it to the tablet's side. There are front & rear cameras too.

What seems to be a major negative point in its favour is that the Microsoft Surface is dependent on Wi-Fi. This limited connectivity aspect is likely to keep away a good number of buyers.

Nevertheless, if the Microsoft Surface is priced right, it could outdo the sales of the Apple iPad. Should you wait to buy the Microsoft Surface or go in for the Apple iPad MC705LL/A (16GB, Wi-Fi, Black) NEWEST MODEL or wait for a further new version of the latter? Well, if you are the type whose first priority is fitting the product into your budget, then perhaps it is better to wait to know the exact price of the Microsoft Surface. It could be well worth it if priced within a range of $600-$650. The Surface Pro, of course, would come at a higher price tag, probably $300-$350 more than the Surface.

In the meanwhile, as we await the arrival of the Surface, Apple continues to rule the roost. Right now, one of the hottest selling tablets is the Apple MacBook Pro MD101LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop (NEWEST VERSION)
